A call from God to reach souls and see lives transformed through the power of Jesus Christ was present in 2006 when then Pastor Avery Kinney, Mother Carolyn Foulks, Avery Kinney Jr, Elder Shaun Johnson, Elder Michele Irby Johnson (Pastor was joined in marriage to Pastor Iris Kinney in 2007) and a handful of the faithful held the first service of what started as Perfecting Word Praise Church in a cafeteria at Hillcrest Heights Special Center. And it is that same passion and mission that continues to drive the reach, growth, and progressive vision of the ministry to this day. 

When you trace the history of Perfecting Word to what now a hybrid Apostolic Hub called The Activation Center – it is evident that God’s hand is upon this ministry. He has done a supernatural work through this work every step of the way and continues show Himself strong…and we know the best is yet to come.
